The Hybrid Recovery Room was created with one goal: To provide amateur athletes and active individuals access to the same high-end recovery equipment that is typically only available for athletes in Division I and professional level facilities. The Hybrid Recovery Room contains the same foundational recovery implements used in athletic training facilities at every competitive college and professional program. These modalities help athletes to recover faster, allowing their bodies to handle the extreme demands of each workout, practice, and game.

So why is recovery so important? Recovery is a term that describes the response that occurs when the body is subject to physical and mental stresses. Most things that we subject our body to are a stressor. Many people have the incorrect notion that lifting makes you stronger, running makes you faster, etc. These are actually all stresses that effectively break down tissue, drain energy stores, and weaken the body. This is why you cannot sprint or squat a heavy weight for an unlimited amount of time/reps. In reality it is the recovery response to those stressors after you exercise that is actually improving performance, cardiovascular health, body composition, etc. All too many times, people put the work in to exercise but don’t give their body what they need to recover. This can lead to plateaus in your training and performance and can even cause injury.
